SYRACUSE, N. Y. (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Virginia Men’s Basketball team (15-16, 8-12 ACC) struggled from the beginning of the game against the Orange Saturday night as they never could find a rhythm offensively and trailed by double figures for the majority of the game. At the half the Hoos were down 43-26 and throughout the second half the closest they could get was cutting the deficit to 13. Syracuse shot 59.6% from the floor and conversely UVA was only 3 of 15 from the three point line with only 8 assists in the game. Afterwards, Head Coach Ron Sanchez joined Jimmy Miller on WINA and the Virginia Sports Radio Network.
Up next, UVA will face the No. 8 seed Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament on Wednesday at Noon in Charlotte, North Carolina. Coverage on WINA begins at 11 a.m. with Cavalier Countdown.
