WAYNESBORO, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) -A Waynesboro woman is dead and four injured following a Tuesday morning two-car crash in Waynesboro. The accident occurred at approximately 7:41 a.m. at the intersection of Hopeman Parkway and Evershire Street Extension.

Driver Brittany Jean Comer, 31, was reported dead at the scene. Two children, who were passengers, were taken to UVA Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the other car, 31-year-old Waynesboro resident Bianca Elaine Estes, was taken to Augusta Health for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger of her car was also transported to UVA Medical Center.  Following a preliminary investigation, Waynesboro officers arrested Estes on charges of involuntary manslaughter, with the possibility of additional charges pending further investigation.

As of Tuesday evening, Estes was being held at Middle River Regional Jail without bond.
