FALLS CHURCH, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The University of Virginia announces the Grand Opening Celebration of its highly anticipated UVA Fairfax Campus Friday, marking a historic expansion into the Northern Virginia region. The program at 12:30pm will include remarks from Governor Glenn Youngkin, UVA President Jim Ryan, and UVA/Northern Virginia Dean Greg Fairchild. Afterwards from 1-to-3pm there’s an open house for exploration of the 55,000-square foot campus.

A UVA release says the UVA Fairfax Campus, housed within the Inova Center for Personalized Health at 8095 Innovation Park Drive in Falls Church, will serve as the cornerstone of the University’s activities in the region. This new campus will offer degree and non-degree programs from 9 of UVA’s 12 schools, provide a dynamic hub for the DC Hoos alumni group, and offer a host of networking and learning opportunities for students, professionals at all stages of careers, and the community.
