Charlottesville, VA (cvilleirightnow.com): As Virginia Women’s Lacrosse gets set to open its season this weekend, two of its stars were named to the preseason All-ACC team by the conference yesterday afternoon. 2024 ACC Freshman of the year Kate Galica earns her first nomination as a midfielder. The second-year had a stellar campaign last season controlling 97 draws in her first year on Grounds. Alongside her, captain Kate Miller follows up a lethal third year in blue and orange that saw her notch 28 goals and 22 assists in attack. She enters her senior year ready to add to her already impressive total of 128 career points. Both honorees will be in action this Friday at 4pm at Klöckner Stadium against the Liberty Flames.
