CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Snowfall is expected across Albemarle and Nelson Counties, as well as the Central Virginia Blue Ridge, beginning this evening and continuing into early Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service forecasts total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches, with isolated areas in southern Nelson County seeing up to 3 inches. Light to moderate snow will taper off by 4 a.m. Saturday.
Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, are likely to become slick and hazardous. Motorists should prepare for slippery conditions and use caution if travel is necessary.
