Albemarle County Fire Rescue is reminding community members that during inclement weather, keeping your driveway clear of snow and ice and ensuring access to any nearby fire hydrants can be imperative for first responders. When shoveling snow this winter, remember to clear a 3-foot radius around fire hydrants so firefighters can quickly hook up hoses to protect people and property.
