Jeff Shane Critzer, affectionately known to most as Shane, 54, of Crozet unexpectedly passed away on November 20, 2024 at his home in Crozet.

Shane (also known to some as Crash) was a native of Crozet, Virginia. Born on March 20, 1970 to Calvin and Libby Critzer who resided in the heart of downtown Crozet. Shane made a career for himself at J. Bruce Barnes Lumber Inc., where he worked side by side with his father Calvin and many friends until the company’s closing. Afterwards, Shane moved on to become the produce manager at Crozet Market.

He had many passions in life, such as watching his Saints play football, blasting music and dancing like crazy and watching good ole Nascar. In his free time, you could often find Shane sitting on his porch watching the neighbor critters and enjoying the view. He loved cooking for his loved ones, drinking a cold Budweiser after a long day of work, or playing with niece Frankie in the afternoons.

Along with his beloved wife of 20 years, Bonnie Clements Critzer, Shane is remembered by his daughter Alyssa Clements Leebrick (Jennings); his son Brandon Clements (Jazzy); his sisters Lorie Critzer (Andy) and Misty Critzer; his beloved niece Frankie Elizabeth Critzer; and best friend Rebecca Joachim (Butch) and children.

Shane will forever be remembered for his big heart, kind, easy going nature, silly sense of humor; and all of the love and joy shared with his beloved wife, kids, family, and friends. He was and will always be a key staple in the Crozet Community. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by many.
