Charlottesville, VA (Virginiasports.com): The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has selected two fourth-year representatives from the UVA Field Hockey team for the 2024 season, naming them both to the NFHCA Senior Team.
Noa Boterman and Jans Croon more than earned their places this year, playing instrumental parts in what was a strong regular season and respectable ACC tournament run for the Hoos. Boterman was the ACC leader in defensive saves and was fifth in the nation in that category. Her career stats stand at 20 goals and six assists. Croon already has some 2024 honors to her name, earning the 2024 ACC Defensive Player of the Year, the first Cavalier ever to win that award. Apart from her defensive prowess over the last four years, Croon chipped in on the attacking side with eight goals and 13 assists over the last two years.
Both players are members of this year’s All-ACC first team.
