Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW): UVA Baseball has announced an extremely IMPACT-ful new signing in advance of the 2025 season. In partnership with non-profit organization Team Impact, the Hoos have signed young Nicholas Duval to the program. The nine-year old lives with a genetic mutation of the TAF-1 gene, but despite being dealt a tough medical hand in life, this announcement shows that his ability to inspire through resilience and determination has not diminished in the slightest. Nicholas will sign for the Hoos at Disharoon Park this afternoon at 4:15 PM, followed by a press conference at Field Club Level. Several members of the UVA Baseball team will be in attendance to answer questions as well. Team IMPACT works with children facing serious illnesses or disabilities and matches them up with College Sports Teams.
