CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – UVA Interim Head Coach Ron Sanchez announced Tuesday (Oct. 29) that senior guard Jalen Warley will transfer out of the program.
Warley, a 6-foot-7 guard, joined Virginia Basketball after three seasons at Florida State, where he established himself as a key contributor. Last season, Warley averaged 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists across 33 games, starting in 32. He hit double figures in scoring in nine games, with a career-high tying 23 points against Louisville on February 3, 2024.
The departure of Warley marks a shift in Virginia’s lineup, as the program continues to adjust under the leadership of Coach Sanchez.
