CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – As UVA’s football season winds down, fans can expect a few changes when visiting Scott Stadium. The University of Virginia Athletics has announced an updated access policy for The Hill, making it available to all ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis for the remaining home games this season.

Previously, The Hill was reserved for season ticket holders, mini-plan buyers, Virginia Athletics Foundation donors, Cavman’s Crew members, UVA students, and other designated groups. The new policy allows any ticket holder to enter as space allows but doesn’t guarantee re-entry once capacity is reached.

The update follows earlier policy shifts made in response to concerns about overcrowding and congestion at Scott Stadium. According to UVA Athletics, the new approach reflects feedback from students and fans who requested a safe and accessible game-day experience. “Throughout the final games, UVA Athletics and the Department of Safety and Security will monitor attendance and adjust access ‘to maximize fan safety while also providing a positive experience for spectators, student-athletes, coaches, and officials,'” according to their statement.
