CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – 5th District Republican Congressional nominee John McGuire is keeping his nose to the grindstone campaigning in a district he says is as large as New Jersey. McGuire tells CvilleRightNow Live on Newsradio WINA one of the things he’s finding on the campaign trail is people would like to see a little more civil discourse. He says as a Navy SEAL veteran, he doesn’t care about someone’s leanings if they save his life on the battlefield. He says his success in the General Assembly, first as a delegate and then as a Senator, has been building teams to tackle problems… and that’s what he intends to do if 5th District voters send him to Washington. McGuire says people keep asking him what caucus he wants to join in DC, and he says his caucus is the 5th Congressional District.
