Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW): A former standout on the UVA Men’s Golf team has reached the culmination of his hard work up to this point in his career. After finishing 28th out of the top 30 golfers on the Korn Ferry’s Tour points list, ex-Wahoo Danny Walker earned his PGA tour card for the 2025 season.
Walker, who played for the Hoos from 2015-2017, finished in the top 10 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron this past August, and finished second at the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse in the same month. He totaled 815 points this season, earning his card along with 23 other rookies from the Korn Ferry’s Tour, after missing out by just two strokes last year.
Danny is the fourth former Cavalier who currently possesses a PGA Tour Card, alongside his former teammates Denny McCarthy and Jimmy Stanger, as well as Ben Kohles.
