CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WINA) Charlotteville police are investigating the discovery of a body underneath the railroad bridge in the 100 block of Roosevelt Brown Blvd.

The body was found on Monday afternoon.

“The medical examiners office has been notified and the investigation is ongoing,” Charlottesville police said in statement issued several hours later. “Currently there does not appear to be foul play associated with this incident.”

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased.
