Carl Andrew Jackson, 83, of Louisa, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Hospice House in Charlottesville, VA. Carl was born November 22, 1940, in Louisa County, Virginia, to the late Robert Lee and Elect Lady Mildred Bishop Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Juanita Jackson; and four brothers, Clarence, James, Lawrence, and Rickey Jackson.
After graduating from the Louisa County School System, Carl met and married Juanita Frye, and they moved to Washington, DC, where he trained to be an excellent chef. He attributed the true source of his culinary experience to his mother.

Carl was an avid gardener. His nieces and nephews affectionately called him “Mr. Green Jeans”.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Carla Roberts of Washington, DC; three granddaughters, Brittany Russell (Chris Fritz) Westminster, MD, Kiara Brooks- Kighuradze (Temo) Tbilisi, Georgia; one grandson, Aaron Roberts, Jr., Tucson, AR; His very first great-grandchild, Karma Dior Von Mattocks, and Elliott, Annabelle, Remi Fritz all of Westminster, MD; four brothers, Thomas Jackson (Juanita) Atlanta, GA, Nelson Jackson, Locust Grove, GA, Roy and Joseph Jackson (Rev. Katherine) of Louisa, VA; two sisters, Sarah Copeland (Pastor James) and Minister Esther Allen (Deacon Kenneth) of Louisa, VA; two
Sisters-in-law, Theresa Jackson and Margaret Jackson, both of Charlottesville, VA; one aunt, Hazel Batchelor of Washington, DC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
