Mercele A. Harris-Collins departed this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Adventist Health Care Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville Maryland.

She was born on October 9, 1953, to the late Dorothy Harris and Frank Gray, at the University of Virginia Hospital. She was preceded in death a sister Audrey Harris and a brother, Arthur Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Henry Collins, one daughter, Shanelle Harris and one son, Dominique Harris. Three sisters- Edna Harris, Tajuanna Harris, and Tonya Harris, one brother-Melvin Harris. She also leaves to cherish her memory nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Mercele loved going to yard sales and cooking.
