GLEN ALLEN,VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Henrico County prosecutors are setting aside one charge against Henley Middle School Principal Laruth Ensley while a judge has set an October court date on another. A Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court judge has accepted the prosecution’s “nolle pross” of the Class 4 felony charge of abusing a child resulting in serious injury. However, an October 7th court date was set on a Class 1 misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

While details of the incident are not disclosed, the alleged incident happened May 1. Albemarle schools Superintendent Matt Haas sent a letter to parents in July saying Ensley is on leave, as per policy.
