CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Left turns from Hydraulic Road onto Route 29 are gone forever. VDOT has removed the left-turn lanes from Hydraulic and traffic can only go thru or make right turns. Traffic heading west from 250 wanting to go south on 29 will have to make a right turn at the new traffic circle onto Hillsdale, then turn left onto Seminole Court to take a left at that light at 29. Traffic heading east from Albemarle High School needing to go north on 29 will need to continue through the 29 intersection to the new traffic circle at Hillsdale. You’ll then go around that circle and then make a right turn on 29 northbound.

Left turns from 29 to Hydraulic are still in effect. VDOT says this change will improve travel times through that congested intersection by 20-to-30-percent.
