Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to begin its search for a new President and CEO, with active recruitment set to start in September. Board Chair Sasha Tripp, of Story House Real Estate, discussed the upcoming process during the Chamber Live segment. 

“We’ve enlisted a professional search firm that specializes in chamber placements,” said Tripp. “They’ll be meeting with our committee later… a week from now…and meet with key stakeholders, meet with our staff, meet with our board.”  

Tripp emphasized the importance of finding a candidate who can be a strong advocate for business and collaborate with regional stakeholders. “We’d really like to see us be a key voice in the conversation when it comes to economic development.” 

The search firm will gather feedback from current and past chamber members to ensure the chosen leader meets the community’s needs. Tripp expressed confidence in the thoroughness of this process, noting that it will provide a clearer vision for the Chamber’s future.
