RUCKERSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Beginning Tuesday morning at 8am, a VDOT contractor will close the westbound lane of Route 33 (Spotswood Trail) in Greene County almost a mile east of U.S. 29 for slope stabilization work. The work consists of drilling bolts into the sloped area of ground and filling the holes with concrete to bolster the slope and prevent it from falling onto the roadway. Drivers should expect alternating lane closures between London Court and Route 610 (Toms Road), weekdays only, Tuesday-through-Aug. 30, from 8am-to-6pm.
