CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Due to a shortage of lifeguards, the Smith Aquatic and Fitness Center’s lap and recreational pool has cut out its weekday midday hours beginning November 1. The pool with close Monday through Thursday throughout November from 10am-to-3:30pm. The overall hours those days remains 7am-to-8pm… except shutting down during those 5-and-a-half hour periods.

The upstairs fitness area will remain open as scheduled.
