ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A fire broke out at Vocelli Pizza on the 1800 block of Seminole Trail early Sunday morning, August 11, 2024. Albemarle County Fire Rescue career and volunteer units were dispatched around 1:45 a.m., with the first team arriving on the scene within five minutes. Firefighters observed flames coming from the front of the building and two trash cans burning on the sidewalk.

There were no injuries, but Vocelli Pizza sustained an estimated $30,000 in damage and will be temporarily closed. The cause of the fire is considered suspicious, and the Albemarle County Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the investigation.
