CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Crozet’s Thomas Heilman swims his first prelim at 5 tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, and the Brooks Family YMCA — where he trains with Cavalier Aquatics — is doing a watch party if he qualifies for the afternoon semifinal. He swims his prelim in the 200-meter fly at 5 in the morning before the Y opens, so they’re not doing a party then. But, if he qualifies… there’s a watch party for a 2:41pm semifinal. The final is 2:36pm Wednesday, when there would also be a watch party.

The same drill for August 2nd when he swims a 100-meter fly around 5am, but swims in the semifinal that afternoon if he qualifies.
