RICHMOND (WINA) – Governor Youngkin’s Spirit of Virginia PAC announces it raised $7.45-million in the 3rd quarter of 2023… ahead of the November General Assembly elections. A release from the PAC notes it’s “nearly five times the next highest quarterly total from a Virginia Governor, previously set by Terry McAuliffe who raised $1.55-million in the fourth quarter of 2015. Youngkin donated a-half-million of his own money, according to the report.
Olivia Rinaldi of CBS News reports $2-million was donated by billionaire investor Jeff Yass, founder of Philadelphia area-based Susquehanna International Group.
Billionare founder and chairman of Greenwich, CT-based Interactive Brokers donated $1-million in the 3rd quarter bringing his total contributions to the PAC at $3-million.
