STORY:
Six of seven injured in a pickup-versus- horse dawn Amish buggy crash that killed one Sunday evening in Cumberland County are being treated at VCU with injuries ranging from serious to life-threatening. One person on the buggy was killed.
State Police’s Corinne Geller says the crash happened shorty before 7pm in the 2700 block of Cumberland Road, which is State Route 45 halfway between Cumberland Courthouse and Farmville. The driver of the pickup was not hurt. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, and no word on the possibility of charges at this time.
