Michael Wayne Worley, 83, of Charlottesville passed away on June 29, 2024. He was born on August 18,1940 to the late Clifford H. “Jack” Worley and Myrtle Smith.
He is survived by his wife Ann Branham, his son Michael Wayne Worley, II, his siblings Joan Durham and Janice Clemons, as well as his grandchildren Hazel and Aleksandra as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He was always focused and deep in thought, traits that served him well both in his professional life but also in his personal time as he enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He was talented and inventive, often being able to engineer solutions to complex problems, or his son’s school projects, with only the simplest of supplies.
His true passion however was his family. He drove his son to school every day, and was so kind, caring, but also fun and lighthearted, that this was appreciated in a way that many children might not have.
Later in life when he married Ann, the two became a perfect match for one another, and they shared a happiness together that few truly know.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial donation in Michael’s honor to a charity of your choice.
