CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Gun violence continues in the city, even as Charlottesville Police conduct a special operation trying to get illegal guns off the streets. Shortly after midnight this morning, Charlottesville Police responded to the 1300 block of Carlton Avenue for a report of a shooting that had just occurred. Officers arrived to find an 18-year old female victim with gunshots wounds to her upper body… inside a vehicle that had crashed into a trailer home. She was taken to UVA where she’s in stable condition with serious injuries.
