CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – As part of the continuing investigation into recent shootings in the city, Charlottesville Police have arrested an individual in the 1000 block of 1st Street South wanted allegedly for possessing firearms as a convicted felon. Working a special operation to address recent gun violence, officers arrested without incident Damillion Diggs of Charlottesville around 10 Wednesday night. As a result, police seized six firearms that included two AR-style rifles, one AR-style pistol, and three handguns along with illegal narcotics. The investigation is still active, and anyone with information about suspicious firearms or recent gun violence is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
