CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Citing a morning forecast of mixed winter precipitation and the possibility of icy roads, Charlottesville and Albemarle County public schools have both issued a 2-hour delay on Tuesday morning.
Charlottesville City Schools with reevaluate the situation at 7:00 a.m., at which time district will confirm a two-hour delay or announce a closure.
Twelve-month staff is directed to await guidance for reporting to work.
During a 2-hour delay, schools run on the same delay as schools, while 12-month staff should report on time. Morning field trips are cancelled. Early morning (zero period) classes are cancelled. At CATEC, the morning session is canceled and the afternoon session will begin at its usual time, 1:25 pm.

In Albemarle County, school offices will open two hours late. Twelve-month employees should report two hours late. Essential personnel should follow the reporting instructions provided by their department leader or supervisor.
